This 2014, Pantone introduced Radiant Orchid 18-3224 as the color of the year!

Cusco: Año Nuevo

Estuve unos días en la Ciudad del Cusco con mis amigas para recibir el año 2014. La noche del 31 de diciembre, todos se reúnen en la Plaza de Armas donde hay música y fuegos artificiales y las 12 en punto se acostumbra dar una vuelta a la plaza corriendo! El clima durante esta época del año es bastante frío a pesar de que es verano en el Perú; suele llover bastante así que si planean ir en esas fechas, no se olviden sus paraguas! Y por último, si les gusta comer rico, les recomiendo el restaurant la Cicciolina que queda en el barrio de San Blas, incluso pueden aprovechar de probar el lomo de alpaca que es uno de sus platos estrella.

I spent a few days in Cusco with my friends to receive year 2014. On new years eve, everyone gathers at the main square known as Plaza de Armas where music and fireworks don't stop and at midnight is tradition to run around the square! The weather during this time of the year is quite cold even though it is summer in Peru, tends to rain, so if you plan to go at that time do not forget your umbrella! And finally, if you like to eat nice, I recommend the restaurant Cicciolina remaining in the neighborhood of San Blas, you may even try to take advantage of alpaca tenderloin, which is one of their popular dishes.
