Puno: Paraíso en el altiplano

Tuve la oportunidad de visitar Puno este año y quería compartir con ustedes algunas de las fotos que tome en el viaje. Pude conocer a una familia que vivía en los Uros, quienes me enseñaron su forma de vivir y su forma de cuidar el medio ambiente. También pude pasar tiempo con algunos habitantes de la isla Taquile, ellos me mostraron sus costumbres y tradiciones. Al final del viaje, visité la Isla Suasi para relajarme un poco con mi familia. Espero les gusten las fotos y puedan conocer Puno alguno día.

I had the opportunity to visit Puno this year and wanted to share with you some of the pictures I took on the trip. I got to meet a family who lived on the Uros, who taught me the way they live and how they care for the environment. I also spend time with people from Taquile Island, they showed me their customs and traditions. At the end of the trip, I visited Suasi Island to relax a little with my family. Arequipa: 10 must-do en el Valle del Colca

Estuve unos días por el Valle del Colca en Arequipa y quería aprovechar para contarles lo lindo que es y las 10 cosas que no pueden dejar de hacer si tienen la oportunidad de ir. Seleccioné diez fotos que tomé en el viaje para mostrárselas, espero les guste.

1. Observar las vicuñas en la Reserva Nacional Pampa Galeras, camino al valle desde la Ciudad Blanca.

I spent a few days in the Colca Valley in Arequipa and I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how nice it is and the 10 things you can not stop doing if you ever have the opportunity to visit it. Took time to select ten photos I took on the trip to show you, hope you like it. 

1. Watching the vicuna in the Pampa Galeras National Reserve.

10. Tomar un relajante baño para terminar el viaje. Les recomiendo las piscinas termales del hotel Colca Lodge en lo profundo del cañón, junto al río.

Puno: Moda andina

La semana que estuve en Puno, tuve la suerte de ver el desfile con los resultados del trabajo que realizaron varias asociaciones de artesanos de la región para la feria "Perú Moda 2014". El objetivo del evento es dar a conocer el desarrollo delas artesanías y promoverlas a nivel internacional. Los artesanos puneños mostraron diseños con telares a base de fibra de alpaca que actualmente son altamente cotizadas y pedidas por el mercado extranjero.

The week I was in Puno, I was fortunate to watch the fashion shot with the results of the work done by several artisans associations from the region from "Peru Moda 2014". The aim of the event is to present the development of the crafts and promote them internationally. The Puno artisans showed designs based from alpaca fibre which are currently highly valued and sought by the foreign market.
