Para Fiestas Patrias, visité Huaraz en el departamento de Ancash. Quería compartir con ustedes algunas de las fotos que tomé durante el viaje y contarles un poco de ellas. Alquilamos una casa en un pueblo llamado Mancos cerca del Parque Nacional Huascarán; la vista era increíble, las dos primeras fotos las tome desde ahí. Pudimos visitar el lago Llanganuco, al otro lado de la reserva, el agua tenía un color celeste precioso y pudimos dar un paseo en bote, tal como se ve en las fotos 3 y 4. Las siguientes tres las tomé en una excursión por el pico Sur del nevado, el cual solo se puede hacer con guía que conozca bien la zona. Tuvimos la oportunidad de ver el amanecer, cuando el sol sale por detrás del Huascarán, para ello tuvimos que levantarnos muy temprano y esperar un largo tiempo, el resultado se ve en la foto 9. Luego de visitar la ciudad de Huaraz, fuimos camino al visitar las ruinas de Chavín de Huantar, donde están las Cabezas Clavas de la foto 13. Finalmente de regreso a Lima, encontramos lugares junto a la carretera donde se ven huellas fosilizadas de dinosaurios. Bastante impresionantes! Si quieren visitar estos lugares, no se olviden que hace un clima frió y puede que haya nieve, así que lleven ropa que abrigue.

For Peru's Independence Day, I visited Huaraz in Ancash. I wanted to share with you some of the photos I took during the trip and tell you a little about them. We rented a house in a town called Mancos near the Huascaran National Park; the view was amazing, the first two photos were taken from there. We visited the lake LLanganuco on the other side of the reserve, the water had a beautiful blue color and we were able to take a ride on the boat, as seen in the photos 3 and 4. The following three were taken on a tour of the southern side of the mointain, which can only be done with guide who knows the area well. We got to see the sunrise, when the sun comes from behind the Huascaran, to see it, we had to get up early and wait a long time, the result is shown in photo 9. After visiting the city of Huaraz, we wentto visit the ruins of Chavin, where Cabezas Clavas are, like in photo 13. Finally, on our way back to Lima, we found places along the road where fossilized dinosours footprints are. Pretty impressive! If you want to visit these places, do not forget that there is a cold weather over there and maybe you'll fins snow too, so bring warm clothes.
